The purpose of this Wiki is to assist in the planning and execution of the conferenece. Please post questions, problems, outstanding issues and resolutions.
Planning
So far we have accomplished the following
- securing the CMHF for the reception
- Gotten the space reserved at the Marriot and the Hamton Inns for attendees
- Sent out announcements of the confernce.
- Requested funding from the dean
- Gotten the program committee organized.
- Reserved rooms (we still need to confirm and make sure there are projectors and things)
At this point we still need to following:
- Choose the caterer for the receptions and coffees
- Choose menus for the receptions and coffees
- Sign the contract to get catering at the CMHF and choose menus
- Choose and arrange for Music at the CMHF
- Arrange to have wine for the two receptons (we need to choose a pair of good cheap wines to serve.)
- Get student helpers organized (I think we can pass this off to Bob and Ben, though we should have a plan for what they are going to do.)
- Choose and buy the mugs and toys.
- Arrange for busses to the CMHF
- Work out and arrange for a conference trip.
Problems
To Do
Cathy wants to know if you will need name tags for conference attendees.
